New Beginnings

Hi! Hello!

We are officially beginning this relationships ministry! Today is our first real day “in the office” and by that we mean the office in our cozy new home.

The Lord has been providing in wild ways- from drizzly rain (a personal reminder for us of “He leads me beside quiet waters”), generous donations and encouragement, and placing us in a house LESS THAN TEN MINUTES from our dearest friends. He has also been showing us His desire to protect us in this new mission work as well as His excitement for us to begin...even though we cannot fully see the whole picture of His plan yet. And that’s a quick sidebar of encouragement for you -yes you!- that obedience to God often brings about an inexplicable peace, even if His plan for you hasn’t fully revealed itself.

New beginnings to me (Kelsea) are exciting! The possibilities and adventure component are where I thrive. And I (Drew) tend to lead with hopeful caution. It’s been special to see how we have each navigated the newness as individuals and as a couple. Not all of it has been as simple as we thought. There have been a few surprises, some exhaustion, and patience required. Patience with ourselves, with each other, and from the companies whose packages I (Kelsea) sent to the wrong address because I mixed up the correct one. They’ve been very kind to me haha. But getting back on track: patience, exhaustion, surprise obstacles, and so on are part of transition. We want to make space for these because new beginnings can be exciting AND exhausting. Simple AND difficult. Expected AND unexpected. And the exhausting doesn’t negate the exciting. The difficult doesn’t diminish the simple. Both have their place. Things that have helped us in all of this? Being in God’s Word together. Practicing rest. Intentional meetings with people who love us well. And Dr Pepper with sweet cream from Sonic. :)

On to more of the business-side-of-things…

As of this moment we are fully booked for speaking engagements through December! We want to thank those of you who have scheduled us to come and pour into your teens and college students. We are looking forward to spending this fall traveling the state of Texas and encouraging others in singleness, dating, and marriage.
Also! If you are reading this and have chosen to be a one-time or recurring donor -or you have been praying for us as we transition into this new ministry- we want to thank you as well. You are quite literally making this ministry possible and we praise God for the ways you’re pouring into us.

If you are interested in us speaking in your faith community, we would love for you to reach out to us through our “Events” page on the website. We are currently booking for January 2024 onward.

Something we have been leaning into lately is the book of Acts. We have been studying the journeys of the disciples after Jesus ascended back into Heaven, and it has been very encouraging for us as we are in a season of beginning something new. And if you happen to be in a season of starting something new, we thought it might encourage you too.

Love,
Drew and Kelsea
