Fall 2023
Hello, hello!
We still haven’t figured out how frequently to send newsletters. Monthly? Quarterly? Looks like sporadic is the current method ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ so thank you for your patience and for walking along with us as we learn about what we have stepped into.
The past several months (September, October, November) have been full! Full, but not chaotic, which is what we hope for. We have spent intentional time gathered around tables of food with friends and people we love. We have spent many hours in coffee shops and Sonic stalls pouring into college students or meeting with other ministers and supporters. And we have poured a lot of time into reading God’s word as well as other books on faith and encouragement.*
We had the opportunity to speak in several places - the furthest of which was Texarkana and the nearest right here in Lubbock. The Together Girls Conference in Amarillo invited Kelsea to speak, which made for a special weekend. We also spoke in Canadian and Stephenville and enjoyed the time we had with ministry friends there.
Speaking Events have been our main area of familiarity in this new ministry we’ve begun. It’s been nice having one area that is familiar to us. And while it has been worthwhile, there is also some mystery that God is up to that has yet to be unraveled. We would appreciate prayers over this area of Speaking Events with Through Jordan. We are excited to see what He decides to unfold in this area of the ministry!
Probably our biggest thing we have going on right now is our podcast! The Through Jordan Podcast with Drew & Kelsea officially launched November 1st. We have had such a wonderful time working on this project. We have considered doing a podcast for several years, and over this past year we have received a lot of timely encouragement from Holy Spirit to begin it. We release a new episode each Wednesday. As of now we are on Apple and also Spotify. Most of the topics we cover are centered on relationships. Our hope is to be an encouragement to others, and for whenever people listen to an episode they might feel comforted, as one does when spending time with genuine friends. So far the feedback has been kind, and we point all praise to God for the ways He is working through this avenue of Through Jordan.
Looking ahead to the new year, we have so many hopes and dreams. We have several projects in the works and would appreciate your continued prayers as we discern and do the work laid out before us.
Thanks for your care and your time; we hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
-Drew & Kelsea
